Pop-Punk's most colorful band, Single By Sunday, rang in 2020 in style by headlining the First Night Boston entertainment schedule. The band played about a half hour before leading the countdown to midnight.
Onlookers enjoyed a short fireworks show and were treated to an additional set of energetic tunes by the boys from Glasgow, Scotland.
The band opened with Sweet Caroline, a Boston favorite. They played most of their fan-favorite original songs and mixed in Jump Around (House of Pain) and a brief impromptu bit from Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit.
The performance was the culmination of about 20 musical groups performing on two stages.
First Night Boston is estimated to have some 50,000 visitors each year.
