The Uncle Sam Project, a public art installation in Troy, NY opened tonight! I really enjoyed working on this project with Elizabeth Young of the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District. The project included a logo and promotional poster, photographs of the individual statues, and development of a 16 page statue guide and street map with the statue locations for the public to refer to. You can visit the downtown Troy area and view the statues which will be on display throughout the summer, and auctioned in the fall.
Once I decided on the paint splattered Uncle Sam silhouette, the rest of the project fell into place quite nicely. The BID even painted one of the statues to match the logo!
